       James W. Depuy, M.D.

Dr. Depuy received his Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire. He attended the Temple University School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgical residency at Yale University, where he published several papers having to do with diseases of skeletal development and with pathology of the wrist. Dr. Depuy then did a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Depuy joined Connecticut Family Orthopedics in 1989, and has since enjoyed an immensely popular practice in sports related injuries. Special interests include arthroscopic shoulder and knee reconstruction. His results from ACL reconstruction compare favorably to any in the nation. Dr. Depuy is Danbury's leader in cartilage restoration of the knee and routinely performs cartilage transplantation in the form of direct transfers and cloning.

Dr. Depuy is a member of the Trauma Team of Danbury Hospital where he participates in the care and management of the multiple injured patient. He is a member of the state and county medical societies and maintains operating privileges at both Danbury Hospital and the Health South Surgical Center.
