Dr. Gray is the current managing partner of Connecticut Family Orthopedics and is the Medical Director of the Danbury Hospital Orthopedic Clinic. Dr. Gray joined Connecticut Family Orthopedics in 1987 and established our office in Ridgefield in 1992. In 1998, he and Dr. Fein formed the Danbury Foot and Ankle Center, the first collaboration of that type in this community and an advantageous arrangement for our patients who may now benefit from a broad and comprehensive range of foot and ankle care that includes sports injuries, arthritis surgery, total ankle replacement, traumatic injury reconstruction, deformity reconstruction, pediatric and congenital foot reconstruction and diabetic care.
Dr. Gray graduated from the University of Rhode Island with Honors. He attended the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he did research on bone healing physiology. He completed a general surgical internship and one year of residency at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, and then returned home to Boston where he did his Orthopedic Residency at Tufts University School of Medicine / New England Medical Center. It was then that he received specialty training in foot and ankle surgery.
He has enormous energy and tirelessly attends a busy orthopedic practice both in Danbury and Ridgefield. He was the Orthopedic Trauma Coordinator at Danbury Hospital for 7 years. He is a board member of the Connecticut Orthopedic Society and a past president. He is active in medical politics, legislative efforts on behalf of our patients and fellow physicians across the state and is a physician contracting expert consulting with many physician organizations.
He has formed Ortho New England, a greater than 50 orthopedic surgeon state wide group so that smaller orthopedic practices can come together under one umbrella in order to secure private practice into the future for these groups.
In his free time, he bike rides with his wife, competitively swims, sings in his wife’s synagogue choir and enjoys his grown children and grandchildren.
